ABOUT

17  year old Zoe.L has been singing and performing since the age of three.  She would round up her family, entreating her older brother to play the role of an announcer: once he made Zoe’s introduction, she would energetically sachet along the hallway, and turn in to the living room, where she belted out Hannah Montanna songs with an air of aloof abandon, to her mother and father’s complete amusement.

By age 10 Zoe knew she wanted to pursue her dream of becoming a young popstar. She just wasn’t sure how to go about it. Opportunity arose when her grade five teacher assigned a school project based on the book, The City Of Ember, which the class had been reading.  Each student was given an option to create a song and/or choreograph an original dance based on the book. Zoe rose to the challenge and did both, achieving an A on the project.

The day Zoe got her mark back she came home and performed the song and dance for her family. Although they appreciated the fact that she dreamed of becoming a popstar, they never took her seriously, until...she stunned them when she pretended to be her mom, and reached out by E-mail, to communicate with Barry Lubotta, the president of a professional recording Studio in Toronto where Drake and Rihanna have recorded their music. At Phase One Studios, Mr. Lubotta responded, and to Zoe and her family’s surprise, he invited her to the studio for an orientation session and to hear her sing. He commented that, “She has something special.” And decided to sponsor Zoe’s recording time, to complete three songs she had written: and that's when Zoe's dreams saw the light (of day).

In 2015 Zoe took a family trip to the United Kingdom. In England, she performed her original songs, publicly, for the first time at an open mic night held at a British pub, in the midlands. But this was not Zoe's first rodeo; she had been performing in front of a live audiences as a student of the Toronto Children’s Chorus, a world renowned singing academy, featured at venues like the Roy Thompson Hall, The Royal York Hotel and St Paul's Basilica. In 2016 Zoe performed at the first ever Porchfest in Niagara Falls Ontario, writing an original song for the event where she also sang and played her ukulele. It appears there are no limits to the talents and creative genius of singer, song-writer and recording artist -Zoe.L.
